Views 1118

Homily #150201b ( 19min) Play - Fr. Alan on the readings for today and the importance of prophecies and how we must discern which are true and which are false.  These prophesies are to help in very pragmatic ways to help us become holy, to avoid worldly distractions, and so reach heaven. All of this underscores how close God is to us and how involved he is in helping us to free us from all things that are impediments to our closeness to Him. As a final practical example, Father exhorts us to enjoy the Super Bowl but to not get so involved as to forget that it also the Lord's Day and the score we keep with God is more important than between the Patriots and the Seahawks.
