Nov 22 – Homily – Fr Ignatius: We Need Sacred Music

Views 1379

Homily #131122 ( 05min) Play - Sacred music is set apart for divine worship, whose purpose is to give glory to God and sanctify the people. Gregorian chant is the supreme model and "holds pride of place because it is proper to the Roman Liturgy" (GIRM 41). St. Cecilia is the patron of music and we invoke her intercession for the renewal of sacred music in the liturgy.
