Elias on the Presentation of the Lord where Our Lady, who is the true temple, brings the light of the world to the man made temple in Jerusalem. Mary and Joseph fulfill the law of Moses that calls for the purification after a baby is born. Jesus is the true fulfillment of the old law and brings it to a close and ushers in a new Covenant that gives us the light which reveals God to us and reconciles us with Him, purifying the New Israel. Fr. Elias contrasts this to the darkness of the modern culture of death.
