Tito uses the story of Midas' Golden Touch to preach on the significance of the Gospel account of the healing of the daughter of the Synagogue leader and the afflicted woman. Both were healed at the touch of Jesus. By the old law he would have contracted a curse by touching someone unclean or dead, but instead he gives out a miraculous blessing of curing and Resurrection that is more valuable than Gold and exemplifies the grace that gives eternal life.
