You have to go beyond these mountains to get to Mt. Washington. SEE BELOW

Mt. Washington top left peak. 6,288 ft / April 12, 1934 231 mph winds / January 16, 2004 -43.6 °F wind of 87.5 mph equals  -103 °F

I only started taking photos on the way down, but it was Tuckerman Ravine that we hiked on the way up. I was playing with the "GOPRO" on the way up. Oh yeah, and that's why there are no photos of Fr. Raphael...he needed to take the shuttle back from the top.

Fresh BEAR track...he was heading down hill...there were some bald jokes earlier, so I thought maybe this was payback time -  2 Kings 2: 23-25 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. "Go up, baldhead," they shouted, "go up, baldhead!" The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the children to pieces. From there he went to Mount Carmel, and thence he returned to Samaria.

About 7 minutes from the parking lot where we started the hike.

I remember when my husband and son took the friars to Mt Washington in the summer of 2009. The boys who went that day thought it was a blast.
