A timely piece indeed! I know a certain Franciscan in my parish who would go to parish staff over the state of the altar linens. They were dirty and stained and not being changed and no one seemed to be in charge. And the end of all that was that this person is now in charge and is making new lines and changes to fresh cloths weekly. Father does leave the corporal on the altar all the time but at least that gets changed regularly too now.
And the church has been dirty. Today three ladies put their muscle where their mouth is and cleaned the church.
It shows our love for God when we keep His house nice.
