A consoling and challenging shepherd’s voice…the high bar/crucifixion…such a mystery…the Lord dying for us…the austerities done voluntarily are hard to fathom…how the saints lived on bread alone, etc…hard times living on the brink of starvation but to do it on purpose? Though I guess some do it for their art, sport, or vanity. May as well starve for God, eh. Many different gifts. I guess that’s their sacrifice to make by the grace of God. Peace.
