18min) Play - Jesus the King and Savior of the Jews was not received by them because He came as one of them. This was made very clear when He went to Nazareth where He grew up and, despite performing miracles and preaching the full richness of the Gospel, He was rejected. But it is this rejection that He uses to save the Jews and all humanity.

Thank you Father Angelo. I always like that gospel reading. It seems like it is your friends and relatives that are the least excited when you convert and turn to God. I experienced that myself. It must have been very painful for Jesus to be ridiculed by his relatives. It is comforting to know Jesus knows how it feels to be rejected by close friends and relatives and He will help us when we go thru that experience as well. Thanks again.
