Ave Maria!— June’s Theme: Faith, Hope, and Charity
“Try ever more, with the Divine help, to always maintain firm within you humility and charity, which are the master chords of the whole great edifice, because all of the other virtues are dependent upon them. Maintain yourself very well in these. One is the lowest; the other is the highest. The conservation of the whole edifice depends on the foundation and the roof. If you keep your heart always directed in the exercise of these [two virtues], then you wikl not encounter difficulty in the others. These are the mothers of the virtues and the others follow them as do chicks when they follow their mother.”
