“Especially in the hour of battle, renew your faith in the truth of Christian doctrine, and in a particular way, renew your faith in the promise of eternal life that our most sweet Lord makes to those who fight with strength and courage. It is worth infusing yourself with courage, and to console yourself knowing that one is never alone in suffering, that all of the followers of the Nazarean, spread throughout the world, suffer the same things: they, too, are exposed to tribulations.”
