Pelosi’s spokesman, Brendan Daly confirmed with me just minutes ago that she has no plans to change her position on abortion.
“She has said, as it says in the Democratic party platform, she wants to reduce the number of abortions,” said Daly. “But she will remain pro-choice.”
No surprise here, just the usual disappointment. Keep up the prayers, Lent is coming.

There is a list circulating of pro-abortion ‘Catholic’ politicians and how much money the abortion industry has contributed to them. For some it was hundreds of thousands of dollars. Rather like selling your soul.
Even Our Lord Himself does not trample on free will and when a person will not obey, but obstinately refuses to obey even the Vicar of Christ…and then it seems to go on with impunity, the scandal given is most grave.
What is the real question now is what will transpire in her diocese with regards to her reception of the Holy Eucharist. She has not just become public, but provocatively public, after clear and personal direction by the Holy Father. Allowing her to receive Holy Communion after this event will place the bishop of her diocese in clear opposition to the Holy Father and perhaps excommunicate him laetae sentiae, according to Canon Law.
