“I want nothing other than Jesus alone; I desire nothing other than His sufferings. Allow me to say it, because no one can hear us, I am even disposed to remain deprived for ever of the delights that Jesus makes me feel. I am ready to suffer Jesus hiding His beautiful eyes from me, as long as He does not hide His love from me. I would die from that. But I do not feel the desire to be deprived of suffering; I lack the strength for this.”
