“Let us practice well holy resignation and pure love of God, which is never practiced so well as when amidst contradictions and afflictions, because even children know how to love God amidst spiritual sweetness. To love Him amidst spiritual bitterness is the sign of our loving fidelity. St. Peter, still vulgar on top of Tabor, has the courage to say: Long live Jesus; but to say: Long live Jesus on Calvary, only belongs to The Mother and to the loving faithful (one) who was left to Her as son.”
