Homily #090108 ( 12min) Play -
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring glad tidings to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.

"Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing." And all spoke highly of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth.

Every one of us is the poor, the blind and the oppressed to be set free by the Gospel of Christ from our sins and the tyranny and darkness of atheistic materialism.

    Ave Maria!

Wonderful homily, Father Angelo. Thank you.

How interesting that you should comment on athiest saying that religion is used to control people because I was just having this very conversation the other day with a young man who said that “Religion was created to control the masses.” and I thought, “How very sad for him because I am so not controlled but rather so very free, free to love to the fullest and live to the fullest.”

Your words couldn’t have come at any better time. God stills speaks to His children. Let us always pray for our priets!
