Actually, the friars came here to Toodyay, Western Australia some months before the Feast of Our Lady’s Queenship, but it was on this day 10 years ago that Perth Archbishop Barry James Hickey blessed the friary – thus formalizing the opening of the Australian Mission for the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate here in Western Australia.
