Ave Maria!— June’s Theme: Divine Love
“Love with your entire being, with all of your will and with all of your sentiment, but if you experience aridity of soul and are not capable of producing sentiments of love, don’t worry, because this does not pertain to the essence of love. If your will desires only to accomplish the will of the Immaculate, rest assured that you truly love Her, Jesus and the Father.” (cf. SK #1334)
I’m not sure that will is the essence of love, but I do think it’s a major element – one of just a few. And that it’s not to be identified with sentamentalism.
