Ave Maria!— April’s Theme: Obedience
“When the superiors are presented with information that they previously were unaware of, if this does not seem sufficient to them to change the order, by no means must they seek to convince anyone else of this, because then there would be the danger of a merely natural obedience.” (cf. SK #329)
How about a prayer for the superior who will not evaluate new information because it may cause him to question his own authority?
Too bad, too, because that’s often not the purpose. I worked many years for people who would not get back to you on the grounds that new information was trouble.
Is their a rule about that?
