“Trials can be either interior or exterior, and God sends suffering because He loves us. He who is more greatly loved by God, by Jesus, and he who more greatly loves Jesus, has a greater number of sufferings. In Heaven, if it were possible to desire something, we would desire that God would have sent us a greater quantity of suffering during our earthly life.” (SK #962)
