05min) Play - We can see in many liturgical abuses a disordered desire for something new and exciting.?Some are simply not satisfied with a simple Mass unless there's someone in leotards running down the aisle or waving banners around the church and such. Fr. Ignatius relates this to the signs and wonders which the people sought from Jesus in today's Gospel. Just as Jesus admonishes his followers to mortify themselves so should we in regard to liturgical novelty?- especially during Lent.?Ave Maria! Mass readings
