“Every religious should make the effort, not so much to change the ambient in which he finds himself, as to improve his very self, to personally draw close to the Immaculate, so that everyone, drawing nearer to Her, reciprocally draws closer to one another. Therefore, I do not praise in the least he who comes forward and asks to be sent away from his outpost in order to go to some other place, be it the most fervent friary or zealous religious order.” (SK #926)
