Some angels were envious of what God would do?and so moved by envy of their creator's design, that human nature would be elevated above the angelic nature, they would seek to bring that nature down. And so from the very moment they acquired this knowledge their envy gave birth to ambition, pride, and arrogance and they would try to bring those vices into the first family and indeed we know full well, they would do so with great success. And so, we must reflect in today's Gospel, why we are called to watchfulness, why this mystery of Christmas is truly a mystery of love and yet it is also a mystery of suffering ...
