“Those who in this world have had the possibility of having a foretaste of Paradise, a small anticipation of Heaven, can have an idea of how it will be. And each one of us can experience this. It is enough to go to confession with a profound sorrow for sin and a firm resolution to amend one’s life; to go up to receive Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament with a good preparation; to embrace with a charitable heart the other brothers as well, patiently accepting for the love of God suffering and difficulty. Only then will we understand what it means to have a foretaste of Heaven and we will be able to find peace and happiness even amidst poverty, suffering, dishonor and sickness.” (SK #1065)
