Sep 03 – Homily – Fr Ignatius: Meek and Humble of Heart

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Homily #100903 ( 05min) Play – Today Fr. Ignatius celebrates a votive Mass in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He bases his homily on a reading different from those from the Mass where our Lord describes his Heart as meek and humble. Taking up this yoke of meekness and humility is easy and sweet and is much easier to bear than the yoke of pride and anger that so many choose.

As Our Lord says in Mat 15:28-29:

28 Come to me all you that labor and are burdened, and I will refresh you. 29 Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: And you shall find rest to your souls. 30 For my yoke is sweet and my burden light.

Video – Fr. Peter: The Ultimate Dignity of Humility

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

NACEPF #10 – Fr. Peter speaks to John Primeau on our sublime dignity before God>>> Play

Ave Maria!

The reward for Christ’s humility is His glorification and ours as well. Humility is the cornerstone of our faith. Pride, vanity, curiosity – all the vices that make up a successful worldly career are the gifts of Satan and the fruits of original sin. Possessing many college degrees in not the formula for sanctity. Fr. Peter once again speaks with authority on the harmony of humility and dignity in the lives of Christ, Our Lady, and in our own lives.
