Bonaventure points out that the parables of the Buried Treasure and the Pearl of Great Price tell us that all things are to be counted as loss compared to the treasure of the Gospel. This treasuring of the Gospel is key to being a true disciple of Christ, and so, Mary is the greatest disciple who pondered the Gospel in her Immaculate Heart.
