This book is good, comprehensive introduction to the life and thought of St. Maximilian. It is easy-to-read and well-illustrated with photographs. The video was filmed inside the library of our Munster, Perth house.

This book is probably more suitable for those a little more advanced in the spiritual life, whether they be priests, religious or laymen. For those interested, this video was shot on location in the Pinnacles Desert Discovery, Namburg National Park, about 120 miles north of Perth, Western Australia.

Friar Solanus reviews The Virtues of Mary, by Fr. Luigi Lanzoni, I.C., and published by the Academy of the Immaculate. This small, pocket-sized book is easy to read and contains just over 150 pages; it is well illustrated with beautiful sketches of the Blessed Virgin Mary. If we wish to imitate the B.V.M. as a person, we have to imitate her virtues: this little book will show you how to do this. The book was translated into English by Fr. Edward Hoare, an Australian Rosminian, and was first published in the English language in 1903.

This small book (just over 100 pages) is a good introduction to both the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Holy Shroud of Turin. Recent scientific investigations on both images are addressed. The book is well-illustrated with photographs. This video was shot at our Munster, Perth house –  beside the rose garden (beautiful roses, just like in Guadalupe).

Friar Solanus reviews the booklet Jesus Alone by Gianpaolo Mosconi, published by the Academy of the Immaculate. This is a short biography of a Congolese nun, Bl. Marie-Clementine Anuarite, martyred in the former Belgian Congo in 1964. The parallel between Sr. Anuarite and St. Maria Goretti is drawn out. Sr. Anuarite was a member of the Legion of Mary and had a great devotion to the B.V.M. This video was shot on location at our Munster (Perth) friary garden.
