Ave Maria!– July’s Theme: Holiness “There is no other way which is more simple and easier to sanctify one’s soul than having a filial love for the Immaculate. In fact, whoever loves Her is saved, becomes holy and helps others to become holy. He who loves the Immaculate cannot be damned.” (cf. SK #1363, 1359a, 1360) |
Ave Maria! Here’s a video in Italian. It is a vocation video for the Clarisse dell’Immacolata (Poor Clares of the Immaculate) which is another order started by our founder Fr. Stefano Manelli. It is an order of Poor Clares that follows the Traccia with the Marian vow as do the Franciscans of the Immaculate. Currently they have four convents, all in Italy and have about sixty sisters and are fully contemplative as opposed to the FI sisters who are both active and contemplative. This slide-show video features their convent in Pastena in Lazio. We will probably make an English version of this but we thought we should just get this Italian version up straight away to add a little foreign language flair on AirMaria and to give some exposure to this blessed community. Ave Maria!– July’s Theme: Holiness “The degree of perfection depends upon the union of our will with the will of God. The greater the perfection, the greater the union. Because the Most Holy Mother surpassed the perfection of all the angels and saints, Her will, as well, is united to, and made one and the same with, the will of God. Therefore, in fulfilling the will of the Immaculate, we fulfill, for that very reason, the will of God.” (cf. SK #1232) |
Today many grandparents are raising their grandchildren. How prayers to the parents of Our Lady and the grandparents of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, are needed! Saint Anne and Saint Joachim , Parents of Mary Patrons for Grandparents Joachim and Anne were the parents of Mary and the grandparents of Jesus. The name “Hannah” means grace. In Galilee, where she lived, Mary’s mother was probably called “Hannah” even though we know her as Saint Anne. So, if you are named “Hannah” or “Anne” you are named after the mother of Our Blessed Mother. It was in the womb of Saint Anne that Mary was immaculately conceived. From the first instant of her life, she was in a state of grace and free from all stain of Original Sin. It was her parents, Anne and Joachim that raised her to be faithful to God’s word and remain free of sin. (more…) |

Ave Maria!– July’s Theme: Holiness “Let us turn our gaze towards our Lord, our most perfect model. He, God, Holiness Itself, gives Himself to the Immaculate without any reserve, He becomes Her Son, He desires that She guide Him according to Her good pleasure for an entire thirty years of His earthly life. Do we perhaps need a better encouragement than this? Let us follow the example of our Lord. Let us strive to live in such a way that every day, every moment, we become ever more the property of the Immaculate, fulfilling always more perfectly the will of the Immaculate.” (cf. SK #1232) |
Ave Maria Meditations
In our present world where the embracing of intrinisic evils, which are the compromises with the devil, are becoming more and more mainstream and even mandated, a courageous voice spoke out in 1968. He was publicly denounced for this even by high ranking clergy. Society was warned but did not heed the warning and never has human life become so cheapened and the dignity of a human being so debased. The consequences of the embracing of moral evils has yet to be fully realized. God help us.

Ave Maria!– July’s Theme: Holiness “Besides the natural gifts, man is accompanied from the crib to the grave by the grace of God, which is poured upon every one of us in the quantity and quality such that our weak human capacities may be strengthened and acquire the necessary supernatural energy to affront one’s own mission of sanctification.” (cf. SK #1010) |
