Mercy Means Fidelity to the Gospel – Oct 08 – Homily – Fr Alan

 

In the homily for Monday in the 27th Week in Ordinary Time (Oct 08), Fr. Alan explains today's Scriptures: Jesus teaches we must treat others with mercy to attain eternal life, while St. Paul says that those who pervert the Gospel are accursed; deduction: being merciful requires fidelity to the Gospel, even when the Gospel may "offend" someone's sinful preferences.
