Fr. Joseph Michael McShane gives the homily on how we must seriously heed God's words, live according to His plan, and utilize the Church's graces to prepare for our true destiny in heaven, avoiding worldly distractions and sin.

In his homily, Fr. Joseph Michael McShane reminds us that Jesus wants us to pay close attention to His important words. He emphasizes that our main goal in life is to prepare for heaven by living according to God's plan and commandments. We shouldn't let ourselves get sidetracked by worldly pleasures or pursuits, nor should we take sin lightly, whether it's a serious sin or a smaller one. Instead, we are encouraged to use the help God gives us through the Church, especially frequent confession, and to regularly reflect on whether our daily actions are truly leading us closer to heaven, just as St. Charbel advised.
