Fr. Alan B. Maria Wharton gives the homily for the Feast of St. James, Apostle (July 25, 2026), clarifying which “Saint James” is being celebrated, James the Greater, the “Son of Thunder,” the first apostle martyred, who followed Christ faithfully even after moments of human audacity.

Father reminds us that we carry the Lord’s life as a treasure in earthen vessels, and calls for faithful witness, reconciliation, and “white martyrdom” amid division and tribulation—strengthened through Saint James and Mary.
