Church Clings to Eucharist Forever Unchanged – Apr 23 – Homily – Fr Jacinto

In his homily, Fr. Jacinto explains Jesus' words from John 6 about being the living bread from heaven, whose flesh is given for the life of the world. He stresses that Jesus teaches clearly about the Eucharist—not as a symbol, but truly His body and blood—and that we must accept it in faith. Some followers left Jesus over this hard teaching, but St. Peter stayed, declaring faith in Him. The priest highlights how the Church has always held this belief, quoting St. Thomas Aquinas' hymn that even our senses can deceive, but God's word is true. The Eucharist is the heart of Church life and should be central in ours too.
