Ave Maria Meditations
If we walk in Mary’s company, our path will be more smooth and less marked by those upheavals and inner tribulations which are unavoidable without her. If we live with Mary, so the saints tell us, even our worst enemy, the evil one, will be put to flight. Furthermore, with her we will avoid the danger and havoc of spiritual pride. Where Mary is present, there is true humility.
Mary was present at our baptism, the beginning of our life as Christians. At every new spiritual stage she is still present, as teacher and mediator of those graces. And at the end of our lives, she will be there waiting to open heaven for us and take us to Jesus.
