SC reformed the liturgy for active participation, LG redefined the Church as the "People of God" (LG 9), DV emphasized divine revelation through Jesus Christ (DV 2), and GS urged dialogue with modern society on issues like war and poverty (GS 4). Dcn. Walker addresses misconceptions, such as the "spirit of Vatican II," which led to liturgical abuses not endorsed by the council. He also discusses declarations like Nostra Aetate, which rejected anti-Semitism and promoted interfaith dialogue, and Dignitatis Humanae, affirming religious freedom as a human right rooted in dignity (CCC 2106).
