St. Damien of Molokai Laid Down His Life for His Brethren – May 10 – Homily – Fr Bernard
Views 75
Fr. Bernard M. Salter gives the homily from Our Lady's Chapel, New Bedford, MA, for the Optional Memorial of Saint Damien Joseph de Veuster of Moloka'i, Priest (May 10, 2025), on the similarity between Our Lord's self-sacrifice and St. Damien's. St. Damien preferred the salvation of lepers to his own life, and died the hero of Hawaii. Our Lord's sacrifice continues every day, as He offers us his Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the Blessed Sacrament of Holy Communion.
