Fr Elias gives the homily at Griswold, CT, on Mar 26, 2026, explaining that Abraham’s covenant was spiritual, fulfilled in Christ, making true descendants those with faith in Him rather than mere bloodline, and calling for nations to recognize Christ the King through the Catholic Church for world peace.
In his homily, Fr. Elias talks about Abraham’s promise from God, which was really about faith in Jesus, not just family blood. He says true children of Abraham believe in Christ and join His new promise. Fr. Elias shares a story about a Jewish leader asking a pope for help to start Israel, but the pope offered baptism instead, saying the real home for Jews is the Catholic Church. Jesus argued with some Jews who only saw the promise as about race, not spirit. Now, the holy place is any Catholic church where Mass is said. Fr. Elias says Christ is King of everyone, and only when countries follow Him and the Church will there be peace.
