Fr. Bernard M. Salter gives the homily from Our Lady's Chapel, New Bedford, MA, for Saturday of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary Time (optional memorial of Our Lady on Saturday), on Aug 30, 2025,  explaining that the Parable of the Talents teaches us to view every grace God gives—not only natural abilities—as gifts that demand a grateful, diligent response, directing them toward God’s glory and love of neighbor. Father urges us to follow the Blessed Mother’s ardent devotion, so that at the final judgment our “hands” are full of fruit produced by faithful service.
