Lord Jesus: Suffering Servant & Merciful Savior – Apr 05 – Homily – Fr Alan
Views 44
Fr. Alan B. Maria Wharton gives the homily from Our Lady's Chapel, New Bedford, MA, for Saturday of the Fourth Week of Lent (Apr 05, 2025) on how Jeremiah and Jesus both were persecuted unjustly, but suffered differently; Jeremiah desired vengeance, and Jesus offered mercy and forgiveness for his persecutors.
Christians in an unjust world have to identify with the merciful Jesus, foregoing the desire for revenge, to remain united with Him on the cross in this life, and thus be with him in glory forever, in the next.
Ave Maria!
