Where to Focus: Papal Controversy, or Triumph of the Immaculate Heart? – Feb 22 – Homily – Fr Andre
Views 9
Fr. Andre M. Feain gives the homily from Our Lady's Chapel, New Bedford, MA, for the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter (Feb 22, 2025), on the correct response to controversy surrounding the papacy.
Despite the convictions of some, Pope Francis is not Peter Romanus, per the questionable "Prophecy of St. Malichi." Doubts and arguments surrounding recent papal conclaves, which were not conformed to the instructions of Pope St. JPII, similarly fail to prove the theory that the end of the world is nigh.Rather than get mired in controversy, we should consider the "prophets" of Fatima, Saints Jacinta and Francisco, and the as-yet-uncanonized late Sr. Lucia, who instruct us to pray for the pope. Our prayer includes our devotion to the pillars of the Eucharist and the Holy Rosary.
The last three popes have gradually, but finally fulfilled the request of Our Lady of Fatima to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart. As we continue to pray for the Successor of Peter, and for the Church, we confidently await the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Ave Maria!
