Ave Maria Meditations
My Lord! You chose to come to this world in the most simple and humble way. You lived in poverty. There was no great army, no kingdom, no golden chariot, no legion of angels. You chose to come to us through the Blessed Virgin Mary. God picked a human being to bring the Lord of lords into the world, and simply asked for her willingness, her fiat, her yes.
Dear Jesus! How long have You waited for my fiat? How patient and merciful You are, waiting for my commitment, while I often live indifferent, oblivious to Your presence. Yet, all You really ask for is my yes. Give me the grace to love You in return. Give me the grace to call on Your Mother as my example and follow her fiat with my own.
Jesus Christ, I believe in You! I believe in Your true Presence. I believe You, the Savior of the world, gave Your life for my redemption.
