“Jesus, I trust in You” – Jan 08 – Homily – Fr Joseph M.
Views 66
Fr Joseph M. gives the homily at Bloomington, IN, on Jan 08, 2025, on how we should have renewed trust in Jesus, inspired by His command to “Be not afraid.”
Father talks about the Gospel where the disciples failed to fully trust Jesus after seeing Him feed 5,000 (Mark 6:52). Their struggles remind us that God’s grace helps us grow despite our faults. Jesus’ words, “Do not be afraid” (Matthew 14:27), show us He is always with us, urging us to trust Him. Pope St. John Paul II often said, “Be not afraid,” and St. Faustina taught us to trust Jesus deeply. As a New Year’s resolution, Father invites everyone to open their hearts and grow in faith.
