Our Resurrection & Eternal Life Depend on the Eucharist – Apr 20 – Homily – Fr Alan

 

Fr Alan gives the homily from Our Lady's Chapel, New Bedford, MA, for Saturday of the Third Week of Easter (Apr 20, 2024) on the inseparability of the doctrines on the Resurrection and on the Eucharist. Per Jesus' own words, the invitation to follow him as the Way, the Truth, and the Life, from this temporal life to the eternal life, depends on receiving His Life sacramentally, through Holy Communion. The hard teaching separated believers from unbelievers. Those who believe are united with Jesus and with each other, in His Church, through the Blessed Sacrament.  This truth is one of the critical missing elements of the ecumenical effort, along with the recognition of Mary as the Mediatrix of All Graces.
