Fatherhood & Priesthood: A Man’s Job – Mar 19 – Homily – Fr Matthias
Views 247
Fr Matthias gives the homily at Bloomington, IN, on Mar 19, 2024, on the role of St. Joseph in the Holy Family and how this reflects on the role of men, women, and children in the family, the world, and the Church.
Father explains how Saint Joseph, as the leader of the Holy Family, never passed his responsibilities onto Mary or Jesus, showing the importance of taking charge of one's duties. He uses this example to tell priests and fathers today that they shouldn't give their important tasks to others, even if others can do them. This keeps families and the Church strong and functioning well. Father ends by saying that loving and dedicating oneself to Mary, as Joseph did, helps every man and priest fulfill their roles better.
