Views 266
Fr Terrance gives the homily at Bloomington, IN, on Feb 26, 2024, where he focuses once again on the Franciscan view of the nature of a person, but this time on St. Francis' strong social character, including social charity, Gospel living, evangelical spirit, fraternal charity, spiritual relationships, preaching love, community building, acts of kindness, selfless service, universal brotherhood. This continues his series and the subsection, "Man in Franciscan Spirituality," humanity's role in God's plan.
Father emphasizes the importance of the social aspect of human nature in the Franciscan way by being open and connected with both God and the people around us. He shares how St. Francis wasn't just about being alone with his beliefs but was all about sharing love and kindness, making a huge impact by simply living out the teachings of the Gospel. St. Francis showed us that caring for others, especially those who are often ignored, and living a life of prayer and action can really change the world. He was a master at making connections with everyone and everything, preaching about love and brotherhood in the spirit of Jesus. We're encouraged to follow in his footsteps by spreading kindness and building a community based on respect and love for everyone.
