To Love Jesus More, Love the World Less – Dec 30 – Homily – Fr Isidore

 

In the homily at Our Lady's Chapel, for the Sixth Day in the Octave of Christmas (Dec. 30, 2023), Fr. Isidore expounds on the example of the prophetess, Anna, mentioned in today's Gospel, and comments on the teaching from the first reading (1 John 2:12-17): in order to love Jesus more, we must learn to love the world less.

In order to grow old gracefully and productively as exemplified by Anna in today's Gospel, we must seek Jesus through prayer and devotion, and by remaining in close contact with God we will find the strength to live our mission.
