To Love Your Neighbor, Look for the Virgin Who Conceived Emmanuel – Oct 29 – Homily – Fr Andre

 

In the homily for the Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time (October 29, 2023), Fr Andre suggests the way to become capable of living the commandment "to love your neighbor as yourself": it begins by looking for the Mother of Peace, the Virgin who conceived Emmanuel, God with us. Relating the Scriptures of the Mass to the critical situation of sin and increasing violence in the world today, Father points in particular to institutionalized terrorism as the hidden power behind the rising chaos: the institution of murder under the protection of "law,'' known as legalized abortion. To end this atrocity, we must turn to the Mother of Peace and learn to love Her and Her Child, and then we can begin to love our neighbor instead of killing him.
