Mercy Requires Us Sometimes to Give Fraternal Correction – Sep 10 – Homily – Fr Jacinto

 

Fr Jacinto M. Chapin gives the homily at Our Lady's chapel, New Bedford, MA, for the Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time (Sep 10, 2023), explaining the lesson on fraternal correction contained in today's Scripture readings. While the wise welcome correction, in many of us, pride resists correction, making fraternal correction one of the most difficult of the spiritual works of mercy (admonish the sinner).
Father offers instruction on how we should prepare ourselves to carry out this delicate and daunting work of charity and mercy.
