Fr Alan gives the homily for Transfiguration Sunday (Aug 06, 2023), at Our Lady's Chapel in New Bedford, Massachusetts, reflecting on how the Transfiguration event sheds light on Christ's transcendence as the Eternal Word Made Flesh. Fr. Alan observes how the Son of God, the Eternal Word, is active throughout the history of salvation, pointing out the examples of His interactions with Moses and Elijah, long before He took flesh. He is the same, then and now, and forever, and we are fortified by this knowledge, even as we behold him on the cross.
