John truly knew that Jesus loved him.

We must trust that He loves us to recognize Him.

Jesus thirsts for the one thing that only we can give, which is our love in return for his

It is not a matter of just taking but giving as well. We must give Jesus our love. We ourselves must love, not our neighbor or family members, etc.

By knowing that He loves us, we can love Him, which is what He wants.
