Love & Pray for Your Enemies – Mar 04 – Homily – Fr Matthias

 

Fr Matthias gives the homily at Bloomington, IN, on Mar 04, 2023, for our First Saturday Marian Day on how we need to pray to Our Lady regarding the grace to love and forgive our enemies as our Lord tells us in the gospel today. To help understand this, he points out that love is not feelings but actions; we must do good and wish them good even if we don't have good feelings about them. We must try to understand them, Understand how we have been enemies to others too often, and pray for their conversion. It also does mean that we should not defend ourselves, but we should avoid taking revenge. We also must avoid becoming like our enemies. To do this difficult task we should ask Our Lady for help.
