David Hume: benevolence is all we can do, and it is just feeling good about others and thus doing some good things.

But this is self-love.

True charity is to love others even when it does not feel good, and this requires supernatural

Ligouri, this involves no rash judgment and avoiding gossip. don't do it, listen to it, or repeat it.

Forget about other's faults and think of their virtues

Do unto others what we would have others do to us

Give not what feels good but what others need
