Becoming Loving Temples of God – Dec 24 – Homily – Fr Terrance

 

Fr Terrance gives the homily at Bloomington, IN, on Dec 24, 2022, on how David wanted to build a house for God, a great temple. But God told David that he would build him a house instead, and this highlights that God is in control and we are only minor actors, all our success and life itself comes from God. Apart from God, we can do nothing, and God will always outdo us in generosity. This relates to Christmas, as Jesus is born in the town of David in Bethlehem, where he takes on the temple, the house, of His Body, to make our hearts temples of love.
